Start a blog? Sure, why not.

They say anyone can start a blog, and that's true. Anyone can start a blog. That doesn't mean it is going to be profitable. They also say you should pick your niche, something you are wildly passionate about, and run with it. Still, no guarantee of profitability. Everyone should embark on something new and adventurous. If sharing ideas and writing interests you, you should start a blog! Just don't count on quitting your day job immediately.

Some popular niche areas include: Life and style? I don't wear makeup, and I wear socially acceptable pajamas to work every day. If I'm not in scrubs- I'm in jeans and a tee, so that's definitely not my spot. Cooking? I absolutely love cooking and baking, but a chef I am not. I may start sharing some easy peasy recipe ideas, but I'm not collecting any Michelin stars. Books? Love them, love to read, but that's my escapism. I dabble in booktok, but also not really. Travel? I don't do that often enough to write about, unless I write a blog completely about Disney, which numerous already exist. I went out on a limb and my blog is a little different from what they say. I'm a 40 something mom, nurse, educated wife who enjoys cooking, reading, friendship, music and being absolutely ridiculous, to name just a few things (Geez, that sounds like a dating profile). None of those things individually define who I am wholly.
I am a woman who has a past (don't we all) and I love sharing experiences and thoughts (I've often taken the path less traveled). My chain of beliefs and thoughts most of the time, do not follow societal norms. I live in realism. I talk about a variety of things that I have seen, read or participated in. This is a blog about life, all of it.
What you won't find here is religious or political commentary. I was raised in the age that one doesn't speak of sex, money, religion, or politics. Sex and Money? Meh. Not taboo to me, you either have it or don't, for either. However, I've watched the most rational people become completely irrational over politics and religion. So basically, I might be religious and apolitical. Or not. Who knows. Any and everything else is fair game. You may find some things here that touch you. Appropriately of course. Or not. We are fully aware that we are not everyone's cup of tea over here at Ducking Bullship. We would rather be an aged Burbon anyway. However, this is my little life blog, and I welcome you. I'd love to hear from you, especially if there's a topic you'd like to see. Just remember, life's too short it's all Ducking Bullship anyway.
